Пингвины-геи стали лучшими родителями в зоопарке
В зоопарке Polar Land в Харбине (Северный Китай) обнаружены пингвины-геи, сообщает The Daily Mail.
Птицы были изолированы от своих собратьев за то, что воровали яйца, подкладывая вместо них камень. Делали они это для того, чтобы стать суррогатными отцами.
Борцов за права животных возмутил факт изоляции пингвинов, и они отстояли право птиц на собственные интересы. В итоге птицам позволили стать отцами, причем они оказались лучшими родителями в зоопарке. Исследователи объяснили это биологическими инстинктами – у пингвинов яйца, как правило, высиживают именно самцы.
